OK. The tool looks like letter T

i beat the game. now i will slowly turn into a tree as my body stays still in the hydrating water. never moving out of the pool.

Pls help, I cant find the tool anywhere ;^;

I FOUND IT!!! FINALLY!!!

I really liked this game it was fun even when I couldn't find the tool (I dont even know how I found it, I thought it was a tree at first) it's very simplistic and the image of the little man enjoying the water made me smile.

well done

well done

i found the tool. but i can't find any water

Cool game! I struggled a bit as I couldn't find the tool lol. I don't know how you programmed or animated that desert wind but it looks great! Hope you don't mind if I made a vid!

Glad you liked Dehydrated! Wonder why you went straight into the desert - nothing's there. This reminds me of Herzog's nihilist penguin

Wait where was I supposed to go? lol whoops. Lol I am a crazy penguin, enough of society I just need desert. Also I forgot to mention but I thought it was super cool how you added other features like the other control options.

You captured a barren landscape full of subtle detail. Great entry!

Edit: The commented source is a fantastic addition. It makes me guilty for not commenting mine ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks! You can still create commented source and link it from the game page.

Completed it & loved it. ๐Ÿ˜
Won't spoil the surprise here, but finally found the tool! ๐Ÿฅณ
(For a second there, I really started doubting myself whether there really was a tool, but instead just a social experiment/commentary/art - but indeed there was! ๐Ÿ˜…)

This is such a great entry. Very impressive that you managed to make an attractive + engaging Walking Simulator with only 1K of code.
Really appreciated all the little details, like the swaying trees and blowing sand.

Also, extra props (+thanks) for providing full code commenting! ๐Ÿ‘
You've raised the bar there! ๐Ÿ˜…

Great stuff ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks! Initially I wanted the whole area to be either endless or a looping map with the water place be picked randomly and available only after certain time/distance travelled. However I thought this would be somehow frustrating since if player chose the wrong direction at the beginning it would take too much time to get to the place. So now the map and all locations are hardcoded. And, yes, the tool is actually there and it is main purpose it to make the gameplay little longer.

Please spoil the surprise, I am so stuck and feel like im looking too much into aspects that don't matter

I won't give you precise directions but can provide an iso map of the area. https://twitter.com/von_rostock/status/1570448791328759810
